Six KEY Parts of an Attraction Marketing System For Online Marketers

Posted June 6th, 2008 by Sandy

There is a serious lack of marketing skills in the home business industry. The vast majority of people in online businesses do not know enough about marketing and they are intensely interested in finding out how to really make their online, or home based business work.

What Attraction Marketing allows you to do is stand out from the crowd and position yourself as a leader that has something of value to offer. The key to attraction marketing success is to learn what you target market is insatiably interested in learning, and then teaching them those things.

Sounds simple enough and it is if you’re resourceful and creative. And if you focus on learning what your target market is really interested in and you give them that information, you’ll be able to attract quality leads who will turn into responsive prospects and ultimately buy your product, system or become your affiliate or partner.

While it's aimed primarily at "traditional" businesses, and some of it would be 'old hat' or common sense for Warriors, I found many of the ideas worthwhile, many easily adaptable to marketing online, and in general helped stimulate my own sometimes narrow marketing thoughts.

It might also make for a good blog post or email for anyone in a marketing niche.

5 Website Promotion Myths

Posted March 13th, 2008 by Sandy
I’ve run across a fair amount of new webmasters who have some pretty interesting views on website promotion. Some things that they think are pretty outlandish and just not true. Here are the five most common myths that I have come across:

1. All Link Exchanges Are Good
- sorry, but no. Offtopic reciprocal link exchanges have pretty much no benefit for SEO and in most cases should not be done. However, if the two sites are on the same topic you may wish to perform a reciprocal link exchange for the benefit of drawing targeted visitors, but don't expect any big impact on your search rankings. Link farms should especially be steered clear from.

One-way links are the holy grail of website promotion - they carry a lot more weight with them in terms of SEO, and are almost always targeted. How do you attract these one-way links? Write solid content with great headlines.

If you have a website, you know that traffic is essential, especially if you have something to sell. Not just any old traffic, though - you need targeted traffic.

How is targeted traffic defined? It means website visitors who have a specific interest in the topic of the website. For example, someone who is planning to buy a wedding ring would be interested in jewelry websites.
